Two-year Research Position in Bari, Italy — Bio-based Polymers and Electrospinning Luigi Gentile is opening a two-year research position at the Department of Chemistry, University of Bari Aldo Moro, within the project “Out-of-Equilibrium bio-based polymeric complex fluids”, funded by the Italian Science Fund.
The successful candidate will work on the formulation of complex fluids based on biopolymers dissolved in natural bio-based solvents, aimed at producing out-of-equilibrium fibrous structures by electrospinning. The project will involve optimization of electrospinning parameters such as voltage, flow rate, needle–collector distance and temperature, followed by mechanical and structural characterization of the resulting materials. Techniques will include rheology, dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), and multiscale X-ray scattering methods such as SAXS/WAXS. The researcher will also contribute to scientific publications and presentations at international conferences.
