Call for symposia – 263rd ACS Spring National Meeting in San Diego

Now that the Fall 2021 meeting is tentatively set, it is time to turn to Spring 2022. The National meeting theme is Bonding Through Chemistry, which is appropriate as we hope to renew our bonds with division collogues. This should be a busy meeting, as it is anticipated to be a hybrid meeting during which most programing has the potential to be in person. The Division will have the AP Symposium in honor of 2021 Anselme Payen Award Winner Yoshiharu Nishiyama, “Celebrating CELL: A Joyful Return to In-Person Meetings”, “Pitch for Early Career Scientists”, and an undergraduate research symposium. We also intend to recognize the CELL Division’s 100th Anniversary (2020) which has been delayed by the unfortunate circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We invite symposium proposals in all areas of cellulose and renewable materials, especially those that have potential to be co-sponsored with other divisions and hosted by CELL. We look forward to having a robust program. The ACS 263rd National Meeting will be held in San Diego, CA from March 20-24, 2022. If you are interested in or planning a symposium for the Spring 2022 meeting, please fill in the attached form as soon as possible. This would be greatly appreciated as timelines will again be short. The deadline for this Call for Symposia is June 20, 2021.
