The ACS Cellulose and Renewable Materials (CELL) Division administers numerous awards to honour the contribution of outstanding researchers to the field of science and chemical technology of cellulose, to recognize the service of Division members to the CELL Division, to reward the research achievements of graduate students and to provide funding for graduate students to travel to a National ACS meeting. The Anselme Payen Award, which includes a bronze medal and an honorarium of $3,000, is given by the Cellulose and Renewable Materials Division of the American Chemical Society to honor and encourage outstanding professional contributions to the science and chemical technology of cellulose and its allied products.
The KINGFA Young Investigator Award, sponsored by Kingfa Scientific and Technology Co., recognizes outstanding contributions by young investigators to the science and chemical technology of cellulose and renewable materials.
The Division Fellow Award was established in 1983 to recognize Division members whose dedication, leadership, and enthusiastic service has kept the Cellulose and Renewable Materials Division moving forward.
The ACS Fellows Program was created by the ACS Board of Directors in December 2008 to recognize members of ACS for outstanding achievements in and contributions to Science, the Profession, and the Society.
The Graduate Student Award is given every year to recognize the achievement of graduate students in cellulose and renewable materials research. This award is administered by the ACS Cellulose and Renewable Materials (CELL) Division, in collaboration with the Eastman Chemical Company.
The ACS Cellulose and Renewable Materials (CELL) Division and Springer (the publisher of the periodical CELLULOSE) Poster Award sponsored by Springer-Cellulose recognizes the top three student posters presented at the ACS Spring National Meeting.
The Cellulose and Renewable Materials (CELL) Division sponsors a program to provide funding for graduate students to travel to a National ACS meeting to present orally the results of their research.
The ACS-CWD (American Chemical Society – Committee on Chemists With Disabilities) TRAVEL AWARD aims to encourage and facilitate the participation of undergraduate/graduate students and post-doctoral researchers with disabilities at American Chemical Society (ACS) National Meetings.

ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering and the ACS Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Division and the ACS Cellulose and Renewable Materials Division are seeking nominations for the 2nd annual ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering Lectureship awards, which will recognize and honor the contributions of three early career investigators from around the world who are doing exceptional research that impacts sustainability, green chemistry, or green engineering.
